all i really needed to know, in regards to music, i learned from the oc. am i ashamed of this statement? you bet. but it doesn't take away from my love for phantom planet, death cab for cutie, and nada surf. in a flurry of bell x1, mates of state, and matt pond pa i got to like a little band called hanson. i'm sure you've heard of them. i was already in love with the backstreet boys, buying my first spice girls cd, so i didn't pay much attention to them when i started grade five. i don't know the lyrics to mmbop, have only heard the acoustic version of middle of nowhere, but i'm a fan. i haven't seen them in concert and i'm 75% sure if, given the chance, i'd say no. i wouldn't fit in hanson's fanbase but tinted windows? hipsters in nyc? i'm there.
plans with the bff fell through but i talked my sister into going on this trip with me, even though she won't enjoy herself a minute while we're at the concert. that's the icing on the cake, really. thursday-sunday we'll be in new york city, monday's the show, and tuesday-friday we're visiting meg in boston. we're leaving in two weeks and it's occured to me, i should start planning. i had an amazing time when i stayed with my cousin rhonda and, even though it's four days compared to three weeks like last time, it's enough time to do the things i didn't get to last time. i want to go to nbc's observation deck, ellis island, and... idk. what do you guys like to do when you're in the city?
